The Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development Laboratories (AFIDRO) gathers the 27 laboratories investing in R&D for public health in Colombia.
 
After 60 years of work, the organization went through a rebrand process to launch a new visual identity and website that came in just in time before the most defiant moment in history: the global quest for a COVID-19 vaccine and treatment.

 

We're proud to support this endeavor to transform AFIDRO's image to reflect its current values and outstanding mission for the benefit of humanity.

AFIDRO’s typographic logo reflects on the concept of innovation and pays tribute to the groundbreaking discoveries pursued by its members.

 

The letter A keeps the same angle of the vintage 1940s logo—a homage to the association’s long history and its contribution to the development of the healthcare system.  At the center of letter D, there is an opening forming an arrow that points forward, in a nod to the future.

 

The open letter O reflects the new plans to expand AFIDRO’s work into a more inclusive approach where collaboration with other stakeholders, patient groups and academia is central to meeting the overarching goal of a more sustainable healthcare system in Colombia.

Tierra Colombia

TIERRA COLOMBIA

The TIERRA COLOMBIA project is the first pilot of the Coffee 5.0 Technology Transformation Model. It breaks the barriers of access to technology and internet connectivity in remote hard-to-reach rural regions. It equips coffee-growing communities with connectivity, digital skills, technological capacity-building, and innovative technological tools that empower them to improve the quality and yield of their production, and overall quality of life.

The challenge

To develop engaging and effective educational and pedagogical content for coffee growers.

 

Although generating access to internet connectivity and technological tools for coffee producers and their communities is essential to improving their productivity, agricultural development, and quality of life, sustained change is only possible if communities fully embrace and own the tools introduced.

 

In addition to the benefits that agritech technology provide for crop and harvest management, these tools can also be used to share relevant and engaging content to educate, entertain and motivate coffee-growing communities.


BRAND IDENTITY

We developed a brand system for TIERRA COLOMBIA that captures the lively character of coffee culture, celebrates its heritage, and provides valuable and actionable information in an approachable way. The participant communities had their say in the content design. Their opinions and preferences were discussed with them, and their comments taken into account for the final look and feel.
