The TIERRA COLOMBIA project is the first pilot of the Coffee 5.0 Technology Transformation Model. It breaks the barriers of access to technology and internet connectivity in remote hard-to-reach rural regions. It equips coffee-growing communities with connectivity, digital skills, technological capacity-building, and innovative technological tools that empower them to improve the quality and yield of their production, and overall quality of life.
The challenge
To develop engaging and effective educational and pedagogical content for coffee growers.Although generating access to internet connectivity and technological tools for coffee producers and their communities is essential to improving their productivity, agricultural development, and quality of life, sustained change is only possible if communities fullyembrace and own the tools introduced.In addition to the benefits that agritech technology provide for crop and harvest management, these tools can also be used to share relevant and engaging content to educate, entertain and motivate coffee-growing communities.
BRAND IDENTITY
We developed a brand system for TIERRA COLOMBIA that captures the lively character of coffee culture, celebrates its heritage, and provides valuable and actionable information in an approachable way. The participant communities had their say in the content design. Their opinions and preferences were discussed with them, and their comments taken into account for the final look and feel.
